No, it is a tool to augment developer productivity and will still require human intervention to handle complex architecture and design problems.
The product offers an instance installation on the org's own virtual private cloud (VPC) infrastructure or their own on-prem hardware, on which all their existing applications run. Neither the code, nor any data will ever leave the VPC or on-prem hardware, alleviating your security/IP concerns.
We are not aiming to replace developers. It is possible that on a rare occasion, the AI may end up introducing erroneous or suboptimal code. As has been the standard traditional practice, the devs would review the code and validate its correctness, before deploying it to production.
Coderium offers two modes of operation. First is the active mode. This mode is guided by the developer. The developer navigates to the specific parts of the code and gives the instructions, which the AI follows. The other mode - passive mode, directly reads requirements from Jira and automatically implements the code.
Both these names don't guarantee that your data and code will not be used to train their models. If security and data privacy is of high importance, Coderium is your way to go.
